Who are we ?

Scribbles Illustration & Design was started in 1998, dealing initially with cartoon work and greetings card illustration. Over the last few years the illustration side has expanded to supply cartoon and 'serious' illustration work for brochures, comic strips, web-sites, large format displays and even shop frontages as well as the continuing area of greetings cards. We are a small family run business and aim for customer satisfaction and providing quality cartoons and illustration at affordable prices.

New areas have opened up also, including Flash animation and presentations, web design and on-line animation and more recently book illustration, of which we have 3 projects currently on the go: an illustrated poem and 2 children's stories, one as a traditional narrative with illustration work and the other in a comic strip format. We can also provide company Christmas Cards and calendars.

At the moment any new work is taken on with the hope of expanding and developing new ways of creating imagery. Most work is now computer based and can therefore be manipulated and transfered to a printer or on-screen easily, but occasionally with a project we get the chance to use watercolour or pencil crayon to create an illustration that needs to be more personal such as a caricature for a retirement or wedding album.

We provide cartoons and illustration work for companies such as Lyreco UK, Kingspan Insulation Ltd, Control Techniques Plc, Self Build & Design Magazine, Shropshire Review Magazine, Royal Life Saving Society and The Original Candy Company as well as many more.

Where are we ?

Based just over the Shropshire / Powys border in a rural setting we're fairly central to most of our current customer base, but with the arrival of broadband we can provide artwork to anyone who needs it, with 2 customers in Ireland and 1 in America. Proofing usually occurs via JPG or PDF format on an email, high resolution artwork is then sent either as a mail attachment or on disk, so distance doesn't cause any problems.
